You may have seen in the news, that there were issues with some of our services. Everything is now working as it should be. Our teams are very busy because lots of customers are getting in touch at the moment. To save you waiting, please use our app or Online Banking, if at all possible.

What caused the issue?

Keeping our customers money safe is our absolute number one priority. This was a technology issue.

Is my money safe?

Keeping your money safe is our absolute number one priority. Fraudsters often use times like this to send messages pretending to be Barclays. We’d never ask for your account details or to click on any links in a text message – please stay vigilant and don’t share any personal information.

I know you’re busy on your telephone lines but I do need to speak to someone, when is the best time to call/chat?

If your query isn't urgent, please try us later on in the week and we’ll be more than happy to help.

I purchased an item / made a withdrawal from a cash machine but the money has not been taken out of my account yet?

Please don’t worry your balance will be updated.

I’ve made a duplicate payment in error, what do I do?

If you didn't mean for this to happen, please speak to the person you paid and ask them to return any extra payments, if you haven't already. If you're unable to do this or have any issues, please get in touch in your usual way.

I’ve been financially impacted as a result of your issues, how do I get my money back?

I’ve had fraud on my account – how can you help me?

We're so sorry if you've been a victim of fraud – please contact us on +44 (0) 1624 684020* and we’ll raise a fraud investigation claim for you.  

My HMRC payment went late because of your issues, how do I get my £100 back?

We spoke to HMRC and advised them of our issue. You will not get charged the late penalty as they do not get applied until 1st March. We will ensure no customer is left out of pocket.

I sent money on Friday, but it has not yet been received?

Please don’t worry all payments and transfers will be processed.

I did not withdraw the cash from ATMs that is showing on my statement?

We're sorry this has happened to you. Please contact us in your normal way and we’ll raise a claim for you.
