SWIFT ID / SWIFT CODE / SWIFTBIC

A SWIFT ID, also known as a SWIFT code or SWIFTBIC is an eight or 11 digit bank code. It identifies the bank you're sending funds to and should always be used for international payments to ensure efficient transfer of money.

Many banks refuse to accept payments without SWIFT ID, or charge extra.
