Step 1
Log in to Barclays Online Banking using your passcode and memorable word.
Step 2
Select the account services menu and choose ‘Upgrade to PINsentry’.
Step 3
Once you’ve received your PINsentry card reader, go to the Online Banking login page and select ‘Log in using PINsentry card reader’.
Step 4
Enter the last 4 digits of your debit card into Online Banking.
Step 5
Place your debit card into the PINsentry card reader and press ‘IDENTIFY’. Enter your PIN and press ‘ENTER’.
Step 6
An 8-digit code will appear on the screen of your card reader. Enter this code into the Online Banking login page and click log in to Online Banking.

Download the Barclays app. Once registered, Mobile PINsentry can take up to 10 days to appear in your app.
Step 2
Log in to the app using your unique passcode.
Step 3
Tap on your account management menu in the top left-hand corner of your app. You’ll then see the option for Mobile PINsentry.
Step 4
To log in to Online Banking using Mobile PINsentry, tap ‘IDENTIFY’ on your Mobile PINsentry. This will generate a unique 8-digit code.
Step 5
Go to your Online Banking login page and select the ‘Log in with mobile PINsentry’ option. This will prompt you to enter the unique 8-digit code generated by your Mobile PINsentry.
Step 6
You’re now protected and can start using our full range of services in Online Banking.
